Episode list

The Episode list section provides the option to prepare episodes that are scheduled to be aired at a later, yet-to-be-determined time.

Whether you want to draft episode ideas or prepare for an upcoming program special, this is the right place.

Episodes vs Broadcasts view

If you already know when your broadcast will be aired, it is easier to create a new episode directly within the broadcasts view.

The episode table displays the most recently edited episodes in descending order.

To create a new episode, click the Create new episode button in the table header. Use the Search box to filter episodes.

Episodes list

Use the pagination controls in the table footer to navigate through additional records. To adjust the number of entries displayed, enter a value in the Episodes per page input field.

Edit episode details

To edit an episode, click its title in the first column of the table.

Once the broadcast date is set, you can easily assign the episode to that specific time. To assign a broadcast date, use the broadcast list.

Use cases for the episode list view

For most use cases, the broadcast list is the preferred option. However, there are scenarios where the episode list may be more appropriate:

  • Pre-production of broadcasts – This refers to situations where a topic is being prepared by a radio host, and notes are being made in advance, even though a broadcast date has not yet been set.

  • Non-linear broadcasting options (podcasts) – Programs that are not intended for live scheduling or cannot be aired on the linear program, and are instead planned to be published as podcasts or in other channels.

  • Migration from 3rd party systems – Easily import content from other editorial systems into AURA, which is more difficult due to the need to simultaneously handle conflict resolution for broadcasting.
