# Multilingual Features
Before exploring the wide range of Dashboard features, let’s clarify the various multilingual
options available in _AURA_.
## Dashboard Interface Language
Before logging in, you are able to select the **UI language** you’d like for the Dashboard interface.
This choice is purely for your convenience and only affects the menus and buttons you see. It does
**not affect**:
- The language of the content you enter.
- The language of your broadcasts.
- Date and time formats, which are determined by your browser's regional settings.
## Broadcast Language metadata
Beyond the interface language, you can tag your shows and episodes to indicate **the languages
you broadcast in**. This metadata helps listeners find shows and podcasts in their preferred language.
## Translatable Content
In addition to audio language tags, the Dashboard supports **multi-language text content** for
specific fields in shows, episodes, and host profiles. You can identify translatable fields by the
**translation icon** located next to the field label.
To add a translation, enter your text and then use the **language picker** in the top-right corner
to switch languages. Don't be alarmed if the field appears empty after switching; this is expected.
The Dashboard clears the field so you can enter the new language version. Your previous entry is
saved automatically and will reappear when you switch back to that language.
The list of available translation languages is defined in the [Radio Settings](../admin/station-settings.md#translation-settings). There, the radio station administrator may also bind the
listed languages to the language tags of shows and episodes
([Broadcast Language metadata](#broadcast-language-metadata)).
