## Contributors field concepts
By default, the **Contributors** field is populated with all profiles assigned as show hosts. This
allows for a flexible host assignments per episode, as not all regular hosts participate in every
production.
One-time guests are listed in the episode description instead. This way guests are not stored with
structured relationship metadata (episode ↔ profile).
Additional use cases for the contributors field are:
* **Guests from other shows:** Assign host profiles from other shows to ensure comprehensive metadata
for all community members involved in an episode.
* **External guests:** Track one-time guests by creating individual profiles. If allowing
_on-the-fly_ profile creation, ensure host carefully maintain these records to prevent a large
volume of incomplete profiles.
These use cases require your hosts having [permissions](../admin/roles-and-permissions.md) to
create profiles and assign them as contributors.
## Broadcast dates
You can also view all broadcast dates in the **Broadcast dates** box on the right-hand side.
## Editing past episodes and repetitions
Be cautious when editing details of re-broadcasted episodes, as any changes will also affect past episodes.
For security reasons, past episodes cannot be deleted, and their media sources cannot be modified.
When editing such an episode, a banner will appear with the following message:
> This episode can no longer be deleted and its media sources can no longer be edited because it has already been broadcast.
## Add media sources
In the bottom area, you can upload audio files and assign other types of media sources.
Any assigned audio will be broadcast during the episode's timeslot. If no audio is assigned,
various mechanisms are in place to prevent _dead air_.
For more information, refer to the [Media Management](../media/index) section.
