AURA Playout is a fully automated radio broadcasting system, including fallback handling.

- **Scheduler & Controller**: Precisely schedules your radio program as per your calendar.
- **Autonomous and resilient playout**: Schedule information is pulled from AURA Web into a local cache. This way the playout keeps working, even when the network connectivity to AURA Web might be lost.
- **Heartbeat Monitoring**: Frequently send pulse to a monitoring server, ensuring your schedule and playout server is up and running.
- **Extensible playout server based on Liquidsoap**: Get in touch with the lively Liquidsoap radio community, to customize the play-out as per your needs.
- **Multi-channel input**: Play audio from various sources including queues, streams and line-in from the audio interface.
- **Multi-channel output**: Broadcast to one or more line-out channels.
- **Icecast connectivity**: Stream to an Icecast Server, provide different encoding formats and bitrates
- **Auto DJ triggered by Silence Detector**: Play fallback audio triggered by a silence detector to avoid _Dead Air_. Play randomized music from a folder or M3U playlist.
- **Metadata handling**: Send information on playlogs via REST calls to external services like Engine API.
- **ReplayGain**: Support for normalization based on passed _ReplayGain_ meta data.
- **Playlog server**: Use the API to store and retrieve playlog information from the playout server. Also allows submitting playlogs from other data sources, like hardware music players.
- **Track service**: Query metainformation on currently playing music tracks.
